Manchester City centre-back Vincent Kompany has confirmed his delight regarding the FA Cup win but insists that he and team mates will do what they can to be named Premiership Champions next season.
A good run of form late on this season saw the Eastland’s side manage third spot with Arsenal slipping up on more than a few occasions to allow City through however the gap between the two Manchester sides is something Kompany is aware of.
“‘We had a good season but the reality is we didn’t finish champions, so there is obviously a gap between first place and second and third.'”
The Belgian defender added.
“‘We will do everything we can to bridge that gap. If the club decides to buy it will make sense but hopefully this team will be stronger, regardless of that.'”
