Joleon Lescott is ready to play a part in his first Champions League match as Manchester City enter a new age in football.
The Blues have started their domestic campaign well, winning all four of their Premier League matches so far and Lescott is determined to bring that form into Europe.
The England international noted: “We had a great season last year but this is a new season now, a new era. We’ve got new signings and once everyone is together and firing on all cylinders I am sure we will be there or thereabouts.”
The Citizens will face Napoli on Wednesday night and Lescott is confident in his team, adding: “We have a lot of potential and have much still to improve. But we are going to be ready – we are a strong team, an organised team.”
