Manchester City Everton odds: Can Man City beat the only unbeaten team in the Premier League?

The latest Manchester City Everton odds, with Man City looking a  little short as punters eye Paddy Power’s price of 9/2 on the away win.

Despite suffering a big loss to Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, Man City are still considered 8/13 favourite to end Everton’s unbeaten start to the season on Saturday lunchtime.

Saturday’s early kick-off poses one of the most interesting clashes of the weekend as Manchester City will hope that their impressive home form will be enough to end Everton’s unbeaten start to the Premier League station.

Man City are currently 7th in the Premier League but have the best home record in the league having won all 3 of their games at the Etihad Stadium and only conceding once in all ties.

Much of the focus will be angled towards goalkeeper Joe Hart who has made some critical errors several times this
season costing his side’s valuable points such as in the 3-1 away loss to Cardiff earlier this season and in the midweek 3-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Hart won’t be the only one under scrutiny in the City though with both Joleon Lescott and Matija Nastastic having been poor all season and could see the likes of Micah Richards make an appearance instead.

Despite their problems at the back, City’s thunderous attack will be boosted by the return of David Silva who has now fully recovered from the injury that kept him out of the last few games.

Although Everton have changed their manager over the summer, it is still very much business as usual for The Toffees who have yet a solid if unspectacular start which seen them climb to 4th in the table and yet to lose after the first 6 games.

Roberto Martinez will be forced to make several changes to his usual line-up though with the midfield bearing much of the impact. For starters, Gareth Barry is unavailable as he is unable to play against Man City as per the loan conditions meaning Darron Gibson is likely to come into the starting 11.

In addition to that, there are some injury worries with Kevin Mirallas and Steven Pienaar battling knee and hamstring injuries respectively and will require late fitness tests to see if they are cleared for the trip to Manchester.

On-loan striker Romelu Lukaku will still provide City’s defence with a lot of problems though as the Belgian has already netted in every game he’s appeared in since making his debut last month.

Everton know that they will have a tough task ahead of them if they are to remain unbeaten for a 7th straight league game but having seen Man City misfire against both Bayern Munich and Aston Villa in the past 7 days, it could go either way when the final whistle blows.
