Manchester City look to bolster midfield with international enforcer
Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini, is ready to push his summer spending past the £80m mark with an audacious attempt to sign Roma’s defensive midfielder, Daniele De Rossi.
The Italian manager has already signed Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri this summer, but isn’t ready to stop there as he strives to shape a dream midfield.
The Citizens aren’t short of options in the middle with James Milner, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Nigel De Jong and Gareth Barry already starring.
The City manager noted: “I need something else in midfield because we have limited options,”
He added: “Daniele De Rossi would be absolutely perfect for this team and I rate him as one of the best midfielders in the world.”
