Fiorentina winger, Alessio Cerci, is apparently a second option for Manchester City – if they fail in their bid to sign Arsenal midfielder, Samir Nasri.
The Citizens recently joined rivals Manchester United in the race to sign the Frenchman, and could be closing in on the deal, after it emerged Nasri could be open to a move.
Cerci is reportedly valued at £5m and wants a move away from the club after a rift emerged between him and the fans.
Nasri has only a year left to run on his contract and has been linked with a move away from the Gunners all summer.
Nasri is suspended for the first leg of Arsenal’s Champions League qualifier against Udinese, but is almost certain to appear in the second leg on August 24, ruling him out of any European campaign should he then move to Manchester City.
This will surely make any move City do engineer materialise that much sooner.
