Sources are suggesting the latest dealings in the Carlos Tevez saga at Manchester City and it seems that the club could use the striker as a makeweight for Brazilians Neymar and Ganso after a deal for Real Madrid’s Angel Di Maria appear to be failing.
The club are reportedly offering Tevez in a swap deal plus £15m in cash as they look to beat the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea to the signings of the two youngsters.
The Citizens are known to have been long-term admirers of Neymar, who has scored 34 goals in 81 games for Santos but face heavy competition from Real who came close to completing a deal over the summer. Ganso is an attacking midfielder that presents a different prospect to his club and international teammate who looks more to providing goals rather than scoring, and has also been linked with both Chelsea and Real.
The value of the deal comes to around £55m and the disgruntled Manchester City forward could be open to the move as he strives to move closer to his native Argentina.
Neymar has commented in past weeks that he won’t be finalising any deal before the 2012 London Olympics next year but when presented with the right deal, he and his midfield teammate may be tempted by a summer switch.
