Manchester City propose Adebayor swap deal for Lennon
Manchester City have offered outcast, Emmanuel Adebayor, to Tottenham as a makeweight in an effort to bring Aaron Lennon to the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City boss, Roberto Mancini, will be looking to tempt his Tottenham counterpart, Harry Redknapp, into parting with the winger as he attempts to satisfy the North Londoners need for a striker.
Tottenham have been rumoured to be looking to offload Roman Pavlyuchenko, Peter Crouch, Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe in order to fund a move for a forward of higher calibre.
The deal holds extra significance as the acquisition of Adebayor would certainly anger Arsenal fans, as well as risking the wrath of a portion of Spurs’ supporters.
