Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini, sees Samuel Eto’o as the latest replacement for Carlos Tevez.
However, the Italian has the task of convincing the Manchester City board to sanction such a deal. With Eto’o now 30 years-old, he holds little sell-on value and no previous experience in the Premier League.
Tevez has made no secret of his desire to leave City, with the Argentinian clost to agreeing a move to Corinthians earlier this summer before the Brazilian club pulled out of the £40m deal.
Eto’o is valued at a similar price to Tevez and any deal proposed would reportedly be for a straight swap. The player’s also have near-identical wage bills, which would make for an easy transition on behalf of both outfits.
The Cameroonian has long been thought to want one more big transfer before he retires, and stated earlier this summer that he would welcome a move to the Premier League.
