Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, isn’t getting ahead of himself following the club’s emphatic start to the season which has earned the club comparisons to European champions, Barcelona.
The forward was a key component in another standout Manchester City performance as they marched to a 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic on Saturday, with Aguero scoring a hat trick.
The Blues earned the flattering comparison due to their free-flowing style, contributing massively through midfielder such as Samir Nasri and David Silva.
Speaking to The Sun, the Uruguayan said: “Barcelona are a team that have played together for a lot of years in the same style and they have great players, but we also have good players with ability on the ball.”
He added: “We move it quickly and that’s vital, but we’re not thinking about Barcelona. We’re thinking about ourselves really and trying to develop our own style of play with our own players and do the things Roberto Mancini wants us to do.”
