Shaun Wright-Phillips is currently engaged in negotiations with Manchester City executives, regarding a pay-off that would allow his move to Bolton to go through.
The midfielder has made no secret of his desire to move away from the Etihad Stadium, and would be keen on a switch to the Reebok in order to stay closer to his family.
The 29 year-old has a year left to run on his current £50,000-a-week contract, and it’s understood that City could be willing to pay Wright-Phillips just to get him off of their wage bill.
The England international has found himself out of favour at Manchester City, and is ready to move on to a new challenge, with any deal reported to cost around £2m.
