Gotze will be the subject of a lot of interest all seasonManchester United and Arsenal are set for battle in what could be one of the most thrilling transfer fights of all time when both clubs try to lure Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze to the Premiership.

The youngster has been mightily impressive for club and country since he burst onto the scene last season but the player has suggested that he will look to remain in Dortmund for a while yet.

With the Bundesliga club currently in the Champions League competition, and looking to retain the Bundesliga title they won in style last season, Gotze was always going to remain this summer however next May will see the highly sought after midfielder become part of one the biggest tussles for one player in some time.

It had been revealed that Manchester United had already offered £1.5m to have the first option on Gotze although it is also rumoured that Arsenal – over the last 24 hours of the summers transfer window – had a £35m bid rejected by Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The fact that Dortmund and Arsenal will meet in the Champions League could work in the Emirates side’s favour with there certain to be a discussion of sorts between Wenger and Klopp – whether that be about “Super Mario” no one but they will know.

The player is still only 19 and the Germany manager Joachim Low looks to be the best manager at international level to be able to look after the youngster as he looks to build a side capable of winning the Euro 2012 and World Cup in 2014. Thus far he has used the youngster wisely but certain teams in Europe and the Bundesliga will find their plans dashed by this incredibly skillful youngster even after joining the game with just moments remaining.

Should Sir Alex Ferguson, as he usually does, get the chance to look over the player personally then one can already expect a hefty bid next May.
