Manchester United and Manchester City targeting Scandinavian starlet

Eriksen remains hot property and Manchester United and Manchester City are certainly keenBoth Manchester United and Manchester City are preparing to wage war against each other once again but this time off the field as they both try to seal the signature of Denmark international Christian Eriksen.

The 19 year old has already added 19 international caps to his name since making his debut against Austria in 2010 and currently plays for Dutch giants Ajax.

The youngster is believed to have been turned down by Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur two years ago however the Stamford Bridge club are now also interested but with Eriksen preferring a move elsewhere. Numerous newspapers claim that Manchester United are willing to pay up to £20m for the highly rated international but should any move boil down to money then it is believed Manchester City could have the edge.

Numerous sources also pointed out last week that Christian Eriksen would prefer a move to Spain with Barcelona and Real Madrid having also sent scouts to Amsterdam recently to keep an eye on him. With Manchester United and Manchester City unlikely to do any big business in January one assumes this battle for his signature will commence at the beginning of the summer transfer window.
