Manchester United are to reignite their interest in current Schalke 04 defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos with Tottenham Hotspur also rumoured to be keen on the 19 year old Greek.
The youngster, who is a defender by trade but can also play in front of the back four has made some highly impressive performances recently and was instrumental against Vfl Wolfsburg on Saturday.
The youngster has been a reported target of Manchester United before three years ago and Papadopoulos has shown remarkable steel for a player of his age, Nottingham Forest were also interested a few years ago but the youngster joined Schalke from Olympiakos for an undisclosed fee of around £4m.
Should Manchester United and Tottenham be prepared to test the youngster in the perils of the Premiership then it is thought that a bid of around £5m may be enough to tempt the Bundesliga club in letting him go just a year after his arrival.
