Manchester United boss insists striking outcast will get his chance

Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that Dimitar Berbatov will see his share of game time, after the forward was beaten out of any regular football by the form of hsi teammates.

The Bulgarian international was linked with a move away from the club for the majority of the summer transfer window, after he was left out of the squad for last season’s Champions League final.

The Scot can empathise with Berbatov, saying: “It is hard because of the number of strikers we have.”

The likes of Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck have all been in fine scoring form, warranting the 30 year-old to consider his future at Old Trafford.

Ferguson added: “Dimitar has been training terrific. His attitude is spot on. He will get his game time as the season wears on. There is no question about that.”
