Louis van Gaal has half a mind to bring the young Italian striker to Old Trafford in a bid to increase his striking options
With the likes of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao not firing on all cylinders and with James Wilson too young to be expected to bear the goalscoring burden all on his own, The Red Devils manager is now exploring the possibility of signing a striker who could add a new dimension to his offensive tactics.
And, the Dutchman has reportedly been scouting young Italian forward, Mauro Icardi on TV whenever he gets the time. Icardi is currently having a great season with Italian Serie A giants Internazionale for whom he has already netted 10 goals in the league.
The youngster has attracted a lot of interest from Juventus but is not really keen on making a move for Turin as he is more keen on trying for a new path that not many Italian strikers of yesteryears have taken.
The striker is somewhat of an unknown quantity in England but that all could change if he does sign for Manchester United due to the fact that he always has been a proven goal scorer.
Moreover, signing Icardi will also help Van Gaal in considering a future strike partnership between the Italian and Wilson that could carry on for many years.
