Manchester United edge closer to Mats Hummels transfer
According reports, the English giants are leading the race to acquire the services of the German international
The Borussia Dortmund captain was not really looking to leave Signal Iduna Park in the near future but following a devastating start to the Bundesliga campaign that has seen the team finish the first half of the campaign joint bottom, the German has changed his mind and could possibly leave the club by the end of the current campaign, relegation or no relegation!
Reports claim that Hummels has already made up his mind as to which club he will join and it is becoming more and more likely that the defender is going to sign for Manchester United.
Moreover, the idea of playing under the guidance of Louis van Gaal is something that further entices Hummels into committing to the residents of Old Trafford and it is believed that by the end of the campaign, the German will sign for the Red Devils.
And although the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid have been keeping a close eye on his contract situation at Signal Iduna, it is quite clear that BVB captain’s heart lies in Manchester and he will eventually sign for them.
