Manchester United forward attracting loan interest

It seems only a matter of time until Mame Biram Diouf leaves Manchester United on a temporary deal once more as the Senegalese forward struggles to find game time at Old Trafford.

The attacker spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, scoring six goals in 29 appearances for the Lancashire outfit.

However, it seems as if Diouf has failed to settle in with the Red Devils once more and will supposedly be loaned out to gain more experience at a top flight level.

Among his suitors are said to be Wigan Athletic, Bundesliga outfit Hanover 96 and most prominently, Ligue 1 side Brest.

Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that it was a possibility for the 24 year-old to go out on loan once more in the January transfer window as the likes of Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov to compete with, it’s unlikely that his luck with the current Premier League title holders will be improving anytime soon.

Diouf is staying cool on the matter though and isn’t giving anything away regarding his next destination.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Senegalese international stated: “I have many contacts, but nothing is done yet,”

The striker added: “Brest can be interested, but I have a contract with Manchester United until 2013.”

Loan signings have proven fruitful for several Premier League stars in recent years including Daniel Sturridge, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck whose progress Diouf will undoubtedly be looking to imitate.
