Manchester United happy to wait for Mats Hummels
The Borussia Dortmund captain wants a move to Old Trafford but feels morally bound to help his club get through a difficult situation and The Red Devils are prepared to give the German as much time as he needs
Since 2007, Manchester United have not landed a first choice defender when they signed a relatively unknown Nemanja Vidic from Spartak Moscow. Not many people greeted the Serbian’s arrival but the rest as they say is history.
And now, the Red Devils are keen on signing another center back in the same mold but have so far been unsuccessful in getting the type of player they want.
For months, Mats Hummels has been hotly linked with a move to Old Trafford but so far, Borussia Dortmund have not been convinced by United’s offers. Moreover, Jurgen Klopp wants the German to stay at the Signal Iduna Park until the end of the season and help the club out of a tricky situation.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are understood to have launched an official bid to Valencia for the services of Argentine defender, Nicolas Otamnedi. Reports claim that the initial bid of 26 million pounds has been rejected by Los Che but the Red Devils are going to test the Spaniards with another one.
