Manchester United linked with second Croatia starlet

Amidst rumours that the club are looking to sign Dinamo Zagreb midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, Manchester United are now also being associated with a bid for his fellow attacker, Mario Situm.

Situm, who is a teammate of Kovacic on a club and country level, is another youth showing good promise for the current Prva HNL champions.

During his sole year at the club as a senior, the 19 year-old has made 14 appearances scoring 5 goals in the process.

This year, the teenager also earned a call-up to the Croatian Under-21 side for his performances for his club, providing a chance to prove himself on a larger scale.

The forward is enjoying some fine form in the 2011-12 campaign and will surely see the amount of interest in his services rising in the coming months.

Zagreb has produced a good deal of talent in the past decade including former youth players such as Eduardo, Niko Kranjcar and of course most popular recent example would be Luka Modric.

With such potential already being seen, it could be in United’s best interests to snap up the exciting striker while the media speculation is relatively low.

Due to this, the price-tag that the Croatian outfit will attach to their attacker is debatable but with his age and high sell-on value, they’ll be sure to drive a hard bargain for their goalscorer.
