Manchester United looking to make double bid for defensive targets

Louis van Gaal is set to bring in Aleksandar Dragovic and Omar Gaber in a bid to add much needed depth to the squad

Sources at Old Trafford claim that Louis van Gaal is seemingly desperate to make two defensive signings in the dying embers of the January transfer window.

omar gaberReports claim that the Dutchman had a serious closed doors meeting with Ed Woodward and specifically asked him to get him a centre back and a right back.

And, the club has reportedly sighted two players who the Dutchman wants in the squad. Aleksandar Dragovic has already been scouted extensively by the Red Devils scouts in recent weeks and the Austrian international has reportedly asked Dynamo Kiev to allow him to leave the club he has been supporting ever since he was a boy.

The youngster has been the star performer for the Ukrainian giants for over a year now and could be looking to force a move in the summer if all else fails this month.

Surprisingly, Van Gaal also feels that he needs to have a versatile player in his squad and his search has led him to Egypt international Omar Gaber. The right back, who can also operated in the midfield, only recently signed a contract extension with the Egyptian giants but would find it hard to turn down a chance to sign for a true European giant.
