The Red Devils are lining up another bid for the Borussia Dortmund skipper who has been a long term target for many months now
Despite knowing that it would be really hard to get a yes from the Bundesliga strugglers, Manchester United are regardless going to make a final bid for Mats Hummels in the final few days of the winter transfer window.
The German international has courted heavy interest from the English giants for over a year now and Louis van Gaal has asked the board to do everything it can to bring the centre back to Old Trafford. And it appears that another bid is currently being prepared which may or may not temp Jurgen Klopp’s side into selling a player who many feel has an instrumental role to play in helping the team avoid the drop.
Reports claim that United will offer BVB 40 million pounds for the stylish defender but it is clear that the bid might be rejected on sporting grounds since the Borussens do not want to lose such an important member of the team while they are hanging for dear life in the German Bundesliga.
And although Hummels hasn’t said much about his future, the German in his heart wants to stay at least till the end of the season before thinking about anything else.
