Sources are claiming that Manchester United midfielder, Ryan Giggs, a one-year contract extension in an effort to keep him at the club.
The experienced Welshman has made no secret of his desire to stay with the club he began his professional career with over twenty years ago.
However, Giggs has left his future up in the air, adding that retirement could be around the corner after Paul Scholes retired at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
The midfielder pegs his massive career at the top level down to a daily dose of yoga, which he practised for some years now, and at the age of 37, is still featuring well at Old Trafford.
After the losses of Paul Scholes and Gary Neville over the past year, Sir Alex Ferguson will be keen to hold on to his star for as long as he possibly can.
As much as Giggs provides on the pitch, his help in the dressing room is said to be invaluable, with a host of the youthful United contingent commenting on his influence in training.
Ferguson could be on his way out of the club in the coming seasons, but will be hoping to spend as much of his remaining years with the boy he started coaching as a fresh faced 13 year-old almost 25 years ago.
