Manchester United set to tie down Park

Manchester United midfielder, Park-Ji-Sung, is ready to sign a contract extension after the club and player initially hit a stumbling block in negotiations.

The 30 year-old is believed to have had ‘discrepancies’ over the length of the contract he had originally been offered but his father, Park Hyun-Jong, has now confirmed that the deal has been finalised.

When speaking to Korean Times, Hyun-Jong stated: “I think both sides will be able to sign the new contract in early August, before the Premier League season kicks off,”

“We first had discrepancies on the length of the contract terms, but it is now all settled,” he added.

Park joined United in 2005 from PSV Eindhoven and has become an important part of the Red Devils’ midfield setup.
