Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra, has stated that there is more teams in the battle for Premier League victory than just the Red Devils and Manchester City.
Pundits predicted that the two Manchester rivals would be the two competitors for the title, but the French full-back is adamant that nothing is assured yet.
The defender said: “Some people are already saying the league looks like a competition between ourselves and City, and are asking when the derby is. But I don’t forget Chelsea or Liverpool. They will be there as well.”
The speedster added: “Energy in football is really important. That is why I am really happy the young players play for us.”
The current champions will meet Chelsea this weekend, in a fixture that could allow Manchester City to assume top spot if they lose or draw.
Evra noted: “They deserve it. They are training hard and the boss has never been afraid to let them play. Sunday will be a big game for us. We have to make sure we win.”
