Manchester United striker pleased with youthful influx

Javier Hernandez is delighted with the influx of young talent at Old TraffordManchester United striker, Javier Hernandez, says that he is happy to see the youngsters ascending through the ranks at Old Trafford, and now feels like one of the senior players – at the age of 23.

New signings David de Gea and Phil Jones both started in the 8-2 demolition of Arsenal on Sunday, 20 and 19, respectively. Not to mention Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Chris Smalling also started, with a combined age of 62.

At 23 years-old, Chicharito is far from being a stalwart with the Red Devils, but claims that he feels like a senior member of the team with all these new talents coming through.

The Mexican international noted: “The younger players run a little more and want to show why they are in the team, and that can only be good for us. But it’s great because there are other players here with lots of experience too.”

He added:  “It’s a bit strange but I don’t mind – whether I’m playing with United or Mexico, I love it,”
