Danny Welbeck claims that he is ready to return from injury and once again make an impact in the Red Devils lineup.
The forward suffered a hamstring injury in the 8-2 demolition of Arsenal earlier in the month, but says he is already raring to get back into action.
Speaking to Manutd.com, the 20 year-old said: “I trained late last week and had a little rest on Sunday before coming back in again on Monday. I’m feeling good.”
He added: “I don’t know the squad yet for Leeds but, if I’m called upon, I’m always prepared to be there as I feel ready. I wouldn’t be training if I wasn’t.”
Despite the competition being the Carling Cup, the England international is keen to impress at all levels, going on to say: “These games mean so much to the club and I think bringing the youth through for these matches is always a big positive. I hope quite a few of them get a chance to show what they can do. There’s a lot of talent at Manchester United and I’m sure, if they get a chance, they’ll showcase that talent.”
