Manchester United remain keen on not only Inter Milan and Holland international Wesley Sneijder but also that of Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben.
Manchester United’s interest in Sneijder is no secret and the talented midfielder has been on Sir Alex Ferguson’s wish list for some time as he looks to replace an ageing Paul Scholes.
Arjen Robben however is a new one to us and reports suggest that this will be his last season in the Bundesliga as he looks for a return to the Premiership. The former Chelsea player has been formidable for Bayern when fit and was voted Player of the Year in Germany during the 2009/2010 season.
With Ryan Giggs seemingly on yet another one year rolling contract it appears United do want some experience on the flanks and with Robben still only 27 years of age there appears to be some thought that he can still do the business for the Old Trafford club.
Initially Robben reportedly wanted to join Manchester United from PSV Eindhoven in 2004 however Chelsea and Jose Mourinho were quicker off the mark to hire the talented winger.
With transfer fees somewhat difficult to predict over the last few months it will be difficult to predict what amount of money would be able to tempt either club to sell. Munich are apparently going to have somewhat of a clear out over the summer and Sneijder has just signed an extension at Inter so actual figures where a sale is concerned would be a complete guess.
