Manchester United to test Barcelona’s resolve

Reports claim that Manchester United are willing to fight Chelsea tooth and nail in a bid to acquire the services of Barcelona midfielder, Sergio Busquets.

The Spain international is reportedly keen on testing his luck elsewhere and will not be against the idea of leaving Camp Nou should a big club come calling. And, with Chelsea already pretty much interested in signing the midfielder, it appears that Manchester United are also going to test their luck as Louis van Gaal seeks to continue introducing new faces at the Carrington training base.

Barcelona are very eager to offer the experienced midfielder a new deal with better terms but Busquets is looking to keep his options open despite saying many times in the media that he wants to spend his entire career in Catalonia.

Moreover, Victor Valdes could play a big role in helping Van Gaal into getting his man with the former Barcelona number 1 (currently training with Manchester United), already filling in his fellow countryman about life in Manchester.

Manchester Untied however, will also face stiff competition from Bayern Munich who also seem to be interested in reuniting the player with former manager Pep Guardiola under whom, Busquets established a reputation as one of the best defensive midfielders in the game.
