Manchester United are set to try and lure Brazil and Real Madrid playmaker Kaka their primary midfield target should issues arise with any deal for Wesley Sneijder.
It had been reported recently that Inter Milan were willing to allow their influential Dutchman depart but that they would want Nani in return, something Sir Alex is very unlikely to allow to happen. We also reported on Sunday that Anderson could also be used as a bargaining chip however our sources now understands that United wish to keep the 23 year old for the forseeable future.
Injuries, and the present form of Mersut Ozil has kept Kaka out of the first eleven since joining the Spanish giants and although he has recently claimed he is commited to Real Madrid, a move to Manchester United to test himself in the Premiership may be enough to lure him away.
His career has gone slightly downhill since leaving AC Milan but it is believed a fresh challenge abroad may be the catalyst he requires. At 28 years old he still has time on his hands and many have felt that Manchester United would now provide the best platform for him.
With a price tag of possibly around the £30m mark the Brazilian is certainly not out of United’s reach however they will be sceptical regarding his fitness.
