This match comes from San Antonio and with the hosts having a 1-0 lead from the first clash, they should come into this one in good spirits.

Spurs won the first match 105-83, which is a comfortable score-line at this stage of the competition.

They might prove to have too much for Memphis on home soil once more and a win for Spurs is being offered at 1/2. They scored a play-off record of 14 three-pointers last time out and something similar here is likely to see the hosts take a big step towards the final.

Of course, this is a seven-match series and even a win here doesn’t guarantee that San Antonio come out on top, but it would be tough for Memphis to catch them.

Spurs will be aware that their opponents are likely to improve here and that there is still a long way to go, so they have to keep their momentum going and not allow performances to drop.

It isn’t likely that the favourites will hit 14 three-pointers again, so they have to be clinical when any chances to score arise.

They know that Memphis are usually an incredibly strong defensive unit and Game 1 needs to be forgotten about as the visitors are all but certaiin to improve.

Matt Bonner could be key, especially if he continues his form from the previous fixture. Bonner sunk four of his five three-point attempts. Something similar is sure to see San Antonio Spurs take a 2-0 lead.

As for Memphis Grizzlies, they have to raise their game and cut out the silly mistakes made in Game 1 in this encounter.

Not too many people saw such a poor performances coming from the Grizzlies and now we will see just what they are made of. The character in the squad is going to be tested.

One thing you have to say about Lionel Hollins’ men is that they don’t usually play two bad matches in a row and the Head Coach is somewhat of an expert in getting his players to respond after a poor display.

A win is needed here to draw the series level ahead of two matches in Memphis. If they can bring it back to 1-1 ahead of two home games, then spirits in the camp are sure to be high. The away side are considered the underdogs for this one though as they are at 19/10.

In many ways, it is about returning to the basics and getting their defensive game back in shape. If they can do that, then Memphis Grizzlies can clinch this one.

It should be another enthralling contest between these two sides and as we head into Game 2, it is tough to call which way this series is going to go. All the action gets underway from 2.10am on Wednesday morning.
