Middlesbrough’s current center-back Stephen McManus is hopeful of prolonging his stay at the Riverside Stadium after returning from injury to feature in three recent football matches.
However McManus is unsure as to what plans Middlesborough manager Tony Mowbray has lined up for him.
“I’m not sure what is going to happen. It will be down to the manager, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I am still enjoying it.”
The 28 year old former Celtic defender had been out since November last year with ankle ligament damage which may have ended his campaign for the season.
“I thought my season was finished and I was looking forward to next term. But I’m fit now and I’ve come on in two games and had one start, which has been great. Hopefully, it will continue and we can push on.”
