Midfield maestro may remain in London despite summer transfer
Reports are claiming that Joe Cole may commute from London rather than move to France after his loan signing to Lille.
The midfielder agreed to the season-long loan rather than move to Villa Park on the same terms, after Alex McCleish’s team showed late interest.
Cole accepted a move away from Anfield as it seems he will not figure much into a strengthened Liverpool squad under Kenny Dalglish, playing only 20 games last season, many of those from the bench.
It’s thought that the Ligue 1 champions have agreed to let their new signing commute from London, as it would take only 90 minutes to get to France via Eurostar.
Long commutes are not uncommon i the modern game, and many top flight footballers suffer longer trips to play for their clubs.
