Milan confirm interest in Liverpool playmaker

After another summer of transfer speculation, Alberto Aquilani could be nearing another loan move away from Anfield.

The Italian international spent last season on loan at Juventus, however could instead make the switch to current Serie A champions, AC Milan.

Aquilani has failed to summon the sort of skill that saw him a great success during his spells in Italy, in the Premier League. As a result, the Merseyside club, who have signed three English midfielders this summer, are prepared to let him leave.

Franco Zavaglia, the 27 year-olds agent, commented: “The involved parties are working on this case, and between Wednesday and Thursday, everything will be decided.”

Silvio Berlusconi, Milan’s owner, has confirmed he would very much like to sign the midfielder.
