Millwall hoping to keep hold of Ipswich striker

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has pointed out that he intends to sit down and discuss the future of current Ipswich loan player Kevin Lisbie.

The 49 year old, who has been in charge at Millwall since 2007, has been impressed with the 32 year old Jamaican and has suggested that talks with Lisbie will be held.

“He is certainly somebody we need to talk to, we will be talking to Kevin, and I’ve already had a conversation with him, but we will finish the season and then I’ll speak to him again then. He is on a season long loan and will be in and around here for quite a number of weeks anyway to get over an injury.”

However Jackett does add that the player does not belong to the Lions yet.

“But to all intents and purposes he is still an Ipswich player.”
