Mourinho urged Manchester United superstar target not to move

Inter Milan talisman and Manchester United target, Wesley Sneijder, has revealed that Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho, told him not to join the Premier League champions.

The Portuguese coach was in charge of Inter, winning the Champions League with the club before departing for Real last summer.

Sneider is adamant that he’s happy with the Serie A club, and that a move was only to help the club out financially, saying: “When I was on vacation the club called my agent and said they needed money, so wanted to sell me. This is the only reason I spoke to Manchester United, which everyone knows I did.”

The Dutch international added: “Mourinho advised me and he has Inter at heart, so he told me to stay. He’s a wonderful coach.”

It’s rumoured that United could return with a fresh move for the midfielder in January, but would still need to pay somewhere close to £35m for the midfielder.
