Middlesborough manager Tony Mowbray has made Malaury Martin his first signature of the summer, handing the Frenchman a one-year deal.
Martin was a free agent after spending last season at Blackpool. However, the former France U-21 international failed to make a first-team appearance due to injuries.
After a short trial at Teesside, Martin made his debut in Boro’s 3-2 victory against Croatian side NK Varazdin on Sunday.
Mowbray is confident the utility player will be a valuable asset, telling the club’s website: “Malaury can do a bit of everything and will be a useful addition to our midfield.”
