New boss ready to bring in recruits

Newly placed Bristol City manager Derek McInnes has revealed that he is prepared to look in to the loan market in order to strengthen his squad.
Following his departure from Scottish Premier League outfit St Johnstone, McInnes was formall unveiled by the Robins as boss at Ashton Gate on Thursday.

City currently sit at the bottom of the Championship following a disappointing start, however the 40-year-old is already aware of the club’s problems after analysing them for some time.
However, the former Scotland international will not blame anything on “bad luck” as City have claimed just six points from 12 games and McInnes says he is ready to make changes once he has settled in to the club.

“You could look at different aspects of it – being unfortunate here and there – but you get to a stage when you have to try and take that unfortunate element out of any game,” said McInnes.
“You have a way of working and the percentages get better for certain things.

McInnes added, “There’s certainly enough players in the squad, we’ve just got to make sure there’s the right balance and possibly, having evaluated the squad in the next couple of weeks, have a few additions to help make things better.

“We’ll certainly look at that in the next couple of weeks.

“I’ve managed to watch a couple of DVDs of games and had a couple of reports done over the last few weeks and I think what’s probably clear is they’re lacking a wee bit of confidence.”
