Super Sunday Live Odds : Newcastle v Southampton, Man Ciuty v Chelsea as punters set for footballing feast

Its a Super Sunday with Newcastle v Southampton & Man City v Chelsea as Paddy Power release the latest odds and a new free bets offer for Sundays games.

Newcastle United host Southampton this afternoon in what is a massive game in terms of the fight to stay in the Premier League.

St James’ Park is sure to be rocking for this one and with both teams on 27 points – four clear of the bottom three – it is a six-pointer at the foot of the table.

Both sides should be full of confidence though as Newcastle were 1-0 winners at Ukrainian side Metalist on Thursday evening, a result which saw them reach the last 16 of the Europa League, whereas Southampton’s last match was their 3-1 win at home to Manchester City.

Super Sunday Football : Paddy Power Free Bets Offer

Super Sunday football returns with two cracking games and the Capital One Cup Final, with Paddy Power celebrating with a new free bets offer worth £250/€250 to customers to spend on any match! They’ll also refund certain bets should Man City v Chelsea end in a draw! Claim here!

They each play an attractive style of football as well and are capable of scoring goals, although both have conceded plenty this campaign, so it could be a frantic 90 minutes of action.

Alan Pardew went with a full-strength eleven on Thursday evening in Ukraine and he isn’t likely to make a lot of changes for this encounter. After such a good win, spirits in the camp should be high and the team shouldn’t be too fatigued as they weren’t involved in any action last weekend.

The Magpies seem to have found their form in recent weeks and not many are tipping them for relegation now. However, a defeat here could put them right back into the mix and Pardew knows just how important all three points are.

A win for Newcastle is available at 6/5 and if they are at their best, they should come out on top.

Papiss Cisse simply has to take his chances as he has missed too many good opportunities in recent weeks. He is still considered as the favourite to break the deadlock though at 11/2.

As for Southampton, they know that wins against the likes of Man City do not count for much unless they pick up points against the teams around them.

Mauricio Pochettino has been in charge for four Premier League matches and the Saints have lost just once in that time – which was at Old Trafford – so they are in decent form.

There is certainly a confidence in the South Coast side at the moment and the Argentinean manager has now had another two-weeks to get his ideas across on the training pitch. They visitors are at 11/4 to win this one.

Despite their recent good form, Southampton are still in the relegation battle and they have to try and take something from St James’ Park on Sunday. After this game, they host Queens Park Rangers and then travel to Norwich City, so it is likely to be a vital few weeks for the St Mary’s club.

With the teams below these two playing on Saturday, the pressure could really be on them to pick up a result as they could both be just a point clear of the bottom three.

This is certainly a six-pointer, but it is not likely to be a scrappy affair as each team is in good spirits and sure to play attacking football.

Kick-off is at 1.30PM.
