French giants Paris Saint-Germain have revealed that they will not allow striker Mevlut Erding to move this summer.
Speculation has linked the 24-year-old with Premier League club Newcastle United, whilst Turkish side Galatasaray, French champions Lillie and rivals Rennes were also linked.
PSG have been busy in this summer’s transfer market, signing a number of attacking players including forward Kevin Gameiro from Lorient, which has led Erding’s chances of regular first team football at the club under doubt.
Despite this, PSG have refused to allow the striker to leave the club but have admitted that a number of clubs have enquired about Erding.
“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce that striker Mevlut Erding will continue to play this season under the badge of PSG,” reads a statement on the French giants’ official website.
“Despite numerous requests from clubs wishing to engage the services of Mevlut, the club and the player have decided to continue their adventure together.”
