Newcastle United ready to listen to offers for impressive midfielder

Celtic will play a big part as to whether Cheik Tiote leaves in January or notNewcastle United are ready to listen to offers for their midfielder Cheik Tiote after it emerged that the Tyneside club have already pinpointed a replacement.

Celtic’s impressive Victor Wanyama tops their wishlist with the 20 year old already being touted as a possible Celtic legend in the making. With that in mind Newcastle United could find it difficult to prise the young defensive midfielder away from the SPL but should they sell Tiote to one of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea then they shall certainly have the funds to make a tempting offer.

Arsenal remain one side that appear interested but with their midfield already packed with the likes of Song, Wilshere and Ramsey, Wenger will most likely decide to leave it to United and Chelsea to fight it out.

Manchester United are short of midfielders albeit due to injuries but to have someone site in front of the back four is a position many claim is not yet filled. Chelsea have Essien to come back and although Mikel is not the power many thought he might be, it appears the West London club are keen to get someone in for that position.

Ramires was at first thought to be the primary man to take over in that central area however he seems to have taken a more attacking role but again, with injuries to the Brazilian, one cannot be sure whether he has what it takes to remain a constant piece in Chelsea’s jigsaw.

Newcastle United will not want to lose their steam after such a good start in the Premiership and losing Tiote in January will knock some stuffing out of them, should they be in a good position to land Wanyama then Tiote’s move looks all the more certain.
