Norwich v Bolton Odds: Coyles men braced to shock Canaries

Paddy Power (£200 Free Bets) Betting Odds: Norwich 11/10, draw 5/2, Bolton 11/4

Norwich City will be hoping to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat to Sunderland when they face Bolton Wanderers at Carrow Road this weekend as William Hill give the value to Owen Coyle’s men.

Paul Lambert’s men were brushed aside at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday on a night when they let their high standards slip. It was a rare poor performance from the Canaries and they will expect an immediate response.

After all, they are still a few wins away from survival this season. They may well sit 11 points clear of the bottom three at the moment, but things can change very quickly in the Premier League.

As well as gaining three points against a team towards the bottom of the table, victory over Bolton this weekend would quash any worries that the defeat at Sunderland – their first of 2012 – was a sign of things to come.

Bolton are in good spirits right now though having pulled themselves out of the relegation zone with some positive results. Owen Coyle’s men have only lost one of their last five league games, a run which includes victory over Liverpool and a draw with Arsenal.

There is still a lot of hard work to do – two points is hardly a comfortable cushion between themselves and the bottom three – but at the moment, they are in their best spell of the season.

They have brought some new players in to help this continue too. Highly-rated Watford striker Marvin Sordell has come in on a permanent deal, while young Arsenal midfielder Ryo Miyaichi has joined until the end of the season.

When Norwich and Bolton met earlier in the campaign, it was the Canaries who came away from the Reebok Stadium with a 2-1 win. This was actually their first win since returning to the top flight.

Bolton will desperately want revenge for this on Saturday and overall, it should be an extremely competitive and closely fought contest.
