Norwich v Chelsea odds : Mourinho’s side keen for first away win of the season

Latest Norwich v Chelsea odds as the Blues look a handy price in the betting to take all three points this afternoon.

Chelsea are labelled as 4/6 favourites to beat Norwich as Mourinho’s side look to end their poor form away from Stamford Bridge.

The lunchtime clash between Chelsea and Norwich will see both sides eager to pick up a win to stop their seasons from going off-track so early on in the campaign.

Chelsea have struggled so far on the road this season having drawn 2 and lost 1 hindering the club’s title ambitions and leaving them in 6th place 4 points off the top of the table.

The trip to Carrow Road won’t be easy though as Jose Mourinho’s side are missing several key players through injury or suspension.

The notable absentee is Fernando Torres who is not only suspended for the game after getting sent off in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham last weekend but also sustained a knee injury earlier this week and will be out until the end of the month.

Eden Hazard is also unlikely as the Belgian winger has yet to fully recover from the ankle injury that kept him out of Chelsea’s trip to Bucharest during the middle of the week.

The absences means that Mourinho could lend starts to players eager for good form such as Juan Mata, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o.

For Norwich, they know that today’s game could help them further move away from the drop zone with The Canaries hovering 2 points above it in 15th place after the 6 games of the season.

Chris Hughton’s side will still be plagued by the injury crisis that has plagued them since the start of the season and that has kept out several big name players at the club.

Both Javier Garrido and Nathan Redmond have had slight knocks which kept them out of last week’s win against Stoke and they are unlikely to return for the game against Chelsea.

There is slightly more positive hope for Sebastian Bassong but the Cameroonian defender has not fully recovered from his hamstring injury and will likely be left out in favour of Ryan Bennett and Michael Turner who have impressed in recent weeks.

Norwich will look to give everything to make their home advantage count but with Chelsea keen to get back in the title hunt, The Blues will look likely to pick up their first away win of the season.
