Norwich City close in on Liverpool defender
Paul Lambert’s Norwich City have reportedly made an £800,000 bid for Liverpool defender, Daniel Ayala.
The Merseyside outfit signed Ayala as a 16 year-old in 2007, however the Spaniard hasn’t made enough of an impression to gain his spot on the first team.
Ayala spent twelve games on loan at Hull last season, being recalled to his parent club in December due to a string of injuries.
Lambert noted: “It will be probably next week until something happens.”
The Norwich manager added: “We are more or less there and will just see how things go.”
The Spain U-21 international will become Lambert’s sixth summer signature.
