Steve McClaren’s Nottingham Forest can confirm that the club has agreed a fee with ADO Den Haag for the signature of Wesley Verhoek.
McClaren got a first-hand look at the winger during his time managing Dutch side, FC Twente, and looks to have beaten Fulham and Rangers to his signing.
The 24 year-old was also thought to be wanted by Dutch outfit PSV but the maestro is set to arrive at the City Ground today to undergo a medical, before finalising the deal.
McClaren is keen to add more players to his squad before the end of the month in an effort to strengthen his thin squad.
