N’Zogbia expected to have Aston Villa medical
Charles N’Zogbia is expected to undergo a medical at Aston Villa’s Bodymoor complex later today.
The Wigan star has been desperate for a move away from the DW Stadium for some time now, and the winger looks set to get his wish after the two clubs agreed a £9.5m fee for the speedster earlier in the week.
The 25 year-old has only a year left to run on his current contract, and rather than lose the winger on a free next year, Wigan have decided to cash in on the winger now.
The Latics are looking to Leeds United’s Robert Snodgrass and Derry City’s James McClean as possible replacements for the winger.
N’Zogbia will seal his Aston Villa switch after his future teammates return from their Asian tour next week. The Frenchman is expected to sign a five-year contract.
