Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, is hoping for more appearances with the club after making his first team debut for the side in last month’s Carling Cup win Over Leeds United.
The teenager came to United as a 16 year-old after being reportedly involved in a ‘tapping up’ scandal between the Red Devils and then parent club, Le Havre.
Speaking to French Football Federation, the 18 year-old said: “A possible loan to a Championship club was discussed early in the season, but Sir Alex said he did not want me to leave. That makes me want to prove he was right in trusting me. I am proud of what I’m doing. I’m getting closer to the first team and I hope to progress further this season.”
Speaking after his debut, the Frenchman said: “It was a nice taste of the first team and made me want even more.”
The Premier League champions have already reportedly turned down an approach from Burnley regarding a loan deal for Pogba, and it’s very likely that won’t be the only sign of interest the youth receives.
