The Premier League of Darts heads to Manchester this week and with the way the season has gone so far, we are sure to be in for another enthralling evening on Thursday.

Also, Adrian Lewis finally got off the mark for the season with an impressive win over Michael van Gerwin.
These two losing meant that Raymond van Barneveld went to the top of the table by a point as he beat Andy Hamilton last week.
The Dutchman takes on Robert Thornton in Manchester on Thursday night and is the big favourite to win yet again at 5/7. Van Barneveld is certainly proving a few people that doubted him wrong, but now with the pressure really on him, it will be interesting to see how he performs.
As for Thornton, he is looking to bounce back after a poor performance against James Wade saw him lose 7-1. However, a win here would put him level on points with his opponent.
Phil Taylor knows he needs to perform this time out after that defeat last week and that could be a worrying sign for his opponent, Andy Hamilton.
Taylor is still the 2/1 favourite to win the Premier League this year and he knows that things are extremely tight at the top, so there is no need to panic.
‘The Power’ just needs to play his natural game, and then he is sure to be a comfortable winner here.
Michael van Gerwen wouldn’t have been expecting to lose to Adrian Lewis and it will be interesting to see how he responds to his first Premier League defeat on Thursday.
The man from Holland takes on Wes Newton , who has only been able to win once this campaign.
Van Gerwen has impressed a lot of people over the last year or so and if he can return to form this week, he can show everyone he is strong character.
Both Gary Anderson and Adrian Lewis are sure to be full of confidence after their good displays and now, both will look to climb up the table.
With the confidence they both have though, a draw might be a good bet here at 5/2.
James Wade currently sits in second place after such a superb display in the previous round of fixtures and he takes on Simon Whitlock is what is arguably the pick of the ties in Manchester.
Wade is having a superb campaign so far and Whitlock hasn’t been at his best, but when they are both on top of their game, there is not a lot to separate these two. At 23/17 though, you have to say that Wade looks to be cracking value and he can move to the top with van Barneveld in action after this encounter.
We are sure to see some fantastic darts this week, so bring on the action in Manchester on Thursday evening.
Michael van Gerwen (4/9) | Draw (96/19) | Wes Newton |
