There is no doubt that the pick of the fixtures this time out is James Wade v Raymond van Barneveld as it is a battle between the men sitting in first and third in the table right now.
Barney drew with Robert Thornton last week, but results went his way and he is still a point clear at the top of the table.
As for Wade, he needs to bounce back from defeat against Simon Whitlock in Manchester with a big performance here.
Both men are playing well this season and proving a few people that doubted them wrong, so this should be an epic battle. Van Barneveld looks decent value at 6/5 to come out on top.
Phil Taylor has now lost his last two matches as he was defeated by Andy Hamilton last week.
This isn’t something that happens too often and the Power has to show his class against Wes Newton.
Taylor won’t be happy with how he has been playing, but should still come out on top against Newton, who joint bottom at the moment. The underdog is playing well, but can’t get over the finish line and as we know, hitting the doubles is what it is all about.
The world-number one is at 2/5 here.
Michael van Gerwen managed another win last week as he beat Newton and the Dutchman will be hoping for another two points against Gary Anderson.
Van Gerwen is just a point away from his fellow countryman, van Barneveld, and with this match taking place before the current leader is in action, it is the chance for the Premier League new boy to put some pressure on.
The first encounter of the night is a battle between Andy Hamilton and Simon Whitlock and the latter will still be on a high after a superb win against Wade in Manchester.
When on top of his game, Whitlock is up there with the best of them and if he can show a bit of consistency, he should climb up the table. At the moment, the Australian is in seventh place, but just a point away from third.
Hamilton is also on six points and is being offered at 7/4 here.
The final game to look at sees Robert Thornton take on Adrian Lewis.
Both men drew in Manchester and although Lewis is still at the bottom of the table, he is finally pick up points as he has taken three from two matches, which is good form considering he lost his first four. He’s at 11/8 to win here.
It should be another cracking night of Premier League action with entertainment and a cracking atmosphere in Cardiff guaranteed. The first match gets underway 7.10pm.
