Michael van Gerwen is currently on 20 points, five clear of Robert Thornton in fifth place, so is all but guaranteed to head to the play-offs.
The Dutchman knows just how important confidence and momentum is in this tournament though, so will be looking for another victory against Andy Hamilton this evening.
Van Gerwen lost to Simon Whitlock last week as well, so he needs to bounce back and is being offered at 4/11 to return to winning ways this time out.
As for Hamilton, he faces a tough night as he locks horns with van Gerwen, and then takes on James Wade.
He is six points away from the top four, so needs to win both matches to give himself any chance of the top four, but he isn’t expected to win either encounter as he is at 11/2 to beat the man from Holland and then 4/1 to come out on top against Wade.
Wade also plays two matches and as he currently sits in fourth place, just a point clear of fifth, he needs to get a couple of results.
The left-handed thrower’s second match sees him take on Simon Whitlock, who is sure to be on a high after his win over van Gerwen and knows a win here brings him into top four contention.
This could prove to be one of the best matches of tonight’s action as both players are in decent form and the draw might be decent value at 9/2.
Phil Taylor produced a big performance when needed last week as he won both of his matches to move into second place in the Premier League table.
The world-number one goes up against Robert Thornton this evening, who sits in fifth position.
Taylor looks as though he might be finding form at the perfect time of the campaign and a victory here sees him take a massive step towards the 02 Arena.
The Power is in for a difficult match however as Thornton did manage to beat him last month. He has the knowhow against Taylor and can be backed at 4/1 to do the double over the 16-time World Champion.
The final match to look as sees Raymond van Barneveld take on Adrian Lewis and with the latter having only pride to play for, the former is the one many fancy to win this one.
Van Barneveld is one of three players on 17 points, but he does have a game-in-hand over Taylor in second place, so a win here would make the Dutchman tough to catch.
He is available at 8/15 to beat Lewis, who will be looking forward to this campaign coming to a close.
Bring on the action.
