Premier League trio circling Wigan star

With his contract set to expire in the summer, Hugo Rodallega looks set to leave Wigan Athletic in 2012 with Arsenal, Fulham and QPR all interested in his signature.

The Colombian international has supposedly lost patience with the Latics’ disappointing form this season and won’t be signing an extension to his current deal.

Roberto Martinez’s side find themselves embroiled in a difficult relegation battle and Rodallega isn’t keen on a future in the Championship.

While Arsenal boast the irrepressible talent that is club captain Robin van Persie, they continue to be linked with forwards in an attempt to bolster their attacking line.

The Gunners only have Park Chu-Young, Marouane Chamakh and Andrey Arshavin as backup to the Dutchman and while Young was only brought in over the summer, the latter two names are both being associated with moves away from the club after failing to hit expectations.

Fulham are another side with supposed offensive departures as Andy Johnson, Bobby Zamora and Moussa Dembele have all become subject of interest.

Should any of the trio leave this month, the Cottagers may consider a move for the Wigan forward.

Finally, QPR continue to be linked with just about every player who may be unhappy or unused at their club but with his contract running out in six months, Rodallega poses a serious possibility for the Tony Fernandes funded side.

Rodallega has made over 100 appearances at the DW Stadium side scoring 24 goals in the process.

If Wigan complete the protracted transfer of Bristol City forward, Nicky Maynard, they may consider cashing in on Rodallega rather than lose him on a free in the summer.
